INSTRUCTIONS TO REVIEWERS

Acta Silvae et Ligni is a major scientific journal, dedicated to original or review scientific and professional contributions from the fields of forests, forestry, wood science and technology, forested landscape, nature and the environment. The work of reviewers is of crucial importance for the quality of the papers published in the journal, to maintain the high quality of the journal and to ensure the ethical publishing and the equal opportunity for all authors.

All scientific and professional papers in Acta Silvae et Ligni relies on peer review processes by at least three reviewers to uphold the quality and validity of individual articles and the overall integrity of the journal. Reviewers are invited by the Editorial Board of the journal to conduct a peer review of the manuscript. Revision process follows the double-blind peer review principle.

Each selected reviewer will receive a digital copy of the manuscript and a revision report, downloadable from
this link. For each manuscript, please complete at least the revision report, while  reviewers are encouraged to make additional corrections directly into the manuscript text.
 

Reviewers are suggested to follow the »COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers« standards for peer reviewers available at

Upon the agreement, the reviewer is listed among the extended Editorial Board for the particular issue of Acta Silvae et Ligni. Reviewers have to select this option in the revision report.

The Managing Editor is responsible for the final decision to accept or reject a manuscript, based on the reviewers' comments and suggestions.
